💻 #45: Build and Deploy a Fully Responsive Restaurant Website 👩🏻🍳
Use React to build a beautiful restaurant website
Hello, from Canada! 🇨🇦
I’m back home this month for some time with family. After chatting with family for a while, it wasn’t long before I heard about another “friend of a friend” who needs a website for their business. As a developer, once people know that you make websites the opportunity will come up to help someone work on a website. It can be a great way to make some money while developing your skills.
This weekend’s project will be to build a fully responsive website for a restaurant.
Tutorial of the week:
Length: 3.5 hours
Difficulty: Beginner
This weekend’s tutorial is by JavaScriptMastery, they consistently put our great tutorials on web development.
What you’ll learn this weekend:

3 creative projects of the week:
1. All Black Screen
This project is quite simple but it’s a great beginner project. By making use of the requestFullscreen()
function, the creator is able to set your screen to your choice of colour.
Side projects don’t need to be over the top, you just have to create something.
2. AD AURIS
This website lets your paste a link to an article and it will return an audio file that can sync with Spotify so you can listen later. What a great idea!
Check it out!
3. Isometric Color Picker
HTML, CSS
Super clean and interactive color picker 😍
That’s all folks!
I hope you enjoyed this weekend’s edition of Weekend Web Dev!
I hope these three projects give you inspiration for your next three.js project or portfolio. If you create anything please share it with me on Twitter or reply to this email!
I’d love to see what you’re building.
Your fellow weekend developer,
PS. A lot of people asked me how I got started with web development, I can highly recommend this course by Andrew Mead, it was the first Udemy course I ever bought and I owe it to the course for teaching me the fundamentals of Javascript which are used in all frontend frameworks.
