3 creative projects of the week:
Do you have a project you want featured in an upcoming newsletter?
1. TypeLit.io
Here’s a cool project that helps your practice your typing skills by retyping old books.
The creator, Adam, uses publically available books from gutenberg.org, wikipedia.org, and artsandculture.google.com. Really great project to help anyone that wants to practice their typing.
Check it out!
2. Gold Victor Portfolio
Here’s a portfolio project from an aspiring web developer. I reached out to Victor if I could share his portfolio in the newsletter because I liked how he build and hosted it himself on Netlify. Great work Victor.
3. rafa.design
A personal website is the new resumé/CV and I don’t think anyone does it better than @rafahari. It’s impossible to stand out when your CV is in a pile of other sheets of white paper and black text. A personal website is the best way to stand out as a developer.
That’s all folks!
I hope you enjoyed this weekend’s edition of Weekend Web Dev!
I also hope these three projects give you inspiration for your future projects, portfolio, or just something cool to play around with for a bit.
Share your tutorial progress with me on Twitter! I’d love to see what you’re making.
Your fellow weekend warrior,
Devan
