💻 #20 Build a Tic Tac Toe Game with Vue.js ❌⭕️
Build your own lightning fast tic tac toe game with Vue.js, TailwindCSS, and Vite!
Happy Friday, developer! 👋
For this weekend’s project, we’ll be building a classic tic-tac-toe game. In my first web development job, the stack I used was Vue.js and TailwindCSS. I had so much fun learning these two technologies together that I still use them today for my personal projects. They’re both easy to use and work well together. TailwindCSS is fantastic because it makes styling quick and easy for those weekend projects. Let’s get started!
Tutorial of the week:
Length: 30 minutes
Difficulty: Beginner
This weekend’s tutorial is by Tyler Potts, he has a bunch of fantastic front-end tutorials. I highly, recommend his channel!
What you’ll learn this weekend:
Vue.js ✅
TailwindCSS 🔹
Vite ⚡️
3 creative projects of the week:
1. Bruno Simon
This developer turned their personal site into a 3D interactive browser game. It’s absolutely outstanding.
Here’s also a video demo of the site incase you’re on mobile or it’s not loading for you:
2. Offline Only
This is the first website I’ve come across that I needed to be offline in order to use! Great work Chris Bolin
3. Fake Terminal Portfolio Site
A personal website with a "fake" terminal and a custom command set with a set of challenges to solve to gain more access levels in the machine. Give it a try!
That’s all folks!
I hope you enjoyed this weekend’s edition of Weekend Web Dev!
I also hope these three projects give you inspiration for your future projects, portfolio, or just something cool to play around with for a bit.
Share your tutorial progress with me on Twitter! I’d love to see what you’re building.
