💻 #16 Build an expense tracker with React.js💰🧾
Build your own expense tracking app with React.js
Happy Friday, developer! 👋
I hope you had a great week! Do you have a personal budget / a way to manage your spending? Let me know on Twitter, I’m curious to know what works for you.
In this weekend’s tutorial, we’re going to make an expense tracker using React.js.
Tutorial of the week:
Length: 50 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
This weekend’s tutorial is by one of my favourite tutorial maker’s Traversy Media. He consistently puts out fantastic content, teaching your web development in a clear and concise way.
In this quick tutorial, we’ll be making an expense tracker. What you’ll learn:
Reactjs
Functional components
React Hooks
ContextAPI
3 creative projects of the week:
1. Potato or Tomato
If you’re struggling to come up with a project idea so you can learn a framework, don’t put so much pressure on yourself. Let yourself be creative and build for the sake of learning
2. Scroll-O-Meter
Nothing like working out at home! It’s like a treadmill for your fingers.
3. Christopher Cherupil Portfolio
Really interesting portfolio, so smooth and clear about the message. It was quite slow to load for me on desktop but I still think it’s worth the wait.
Great job, Christopher Cherupil!
That’s all folks!
I hope you enjoyed this weekend’s edition of Weekend Web Dev!
I also hope these three projects give you inspiration for your future projects, portfolio, or just something cool to play around with for a bit.
Share your tutorial progress with me on Twitter! I’d love to see what you’re building.
Your fellow weekend developer,
